People We Meet on Vacation has finally been released on Netflix, making its way onto the screens of the dedicated fans who have been anticipating this film since it was first announced in Oct. 2022. The movie brings the tried-and-true OG rom-com comfort that we’ve all been longing for.
The friends-to-lovers trope is in full force in this story, with the adaptation exploring two best friends, Alex (Tom Blyth) and Poppy(Emily Bader)’s relationship. The audience gets to watch their relationship evolve over the past 12 years and is taken along on their journey. As well as more specifically, the annual summer trips they go on together.
“We want to go on that journey with them,” says author Emily Henry. “We want to see every moment that makes them question that relationship, and this movie did that so well.”
